South Derbyshire Steam and Country Fair 2007

What was originally planed as the MHHA 2007 Show and Heavy Horse Driving trials in June turned our to be a less than spectacular event in mid September. This was caused by the original show  being flooded out and the rescheduled one clashing with many other events.

However those of us who did attend made the best job of it we could using the ring to do displays and a certain amount of training.

The date as already been set for next years show so hopefully weather permitting it will be all systems go for the 2008 MHHA Show  and Heavyhorse driving Trials At Catton Hall South Derbyshire 14th & 15 June 2008.

Lets hope for a little less water.

The show site in June.

Sue and Angus with "The Baby" HAYFIELD COLOUR SERGEANT and Mum HAYFIELD RAZZLE DAZZLER. This was the foals first public outing and was a star throughout not even being phased by a helicopter working from the other side of the edge.

James giving Dillon a blast around the arena to show the versatility of Shires the opportunity was also taken to put Dillon into working gears for the first time. The horse  was totally  relaxed with the whole experience and looked as if he had been working for years.

,

Graham and Loraine giving Billy-Jim and Mickey doing a quick tour of the arena.

Rosie Still working well at 23

Ches making his way through the cones with a passenger we had acquired !

Three of us finished off the Saturday with a horse ride around the park, I'm not saying we were tired at the end of the day but we never even made it to the bar!
