09 April 2009 Bishop Wilton Wold 807ft

County top East Riding of Yorkshire.

One of the easier ones, parking in a lay-by on the A166 and making a quick through the edge !

22 April2009 ~ Malvern Hills

 Herefordshire Beacon 1109ft

SO 75992 40032

Parked on the Malvern Hills Car Park at the bottom of this one.

Good car park, tarmaced paths, very heavily walked area.

Picture of Herefordshire Beacon taken from Jubilee Hill with the rest of Malvern's running north behind it.

From Herefordshire Beacon I started the proper walk, to North Hill at the far end taking the path that went over the tops of the way out but the flatter (and lower one on the return)

The Worcestershire Beacon 1395 ft (County top) SO 76884 45223

View from the top, first pic shows North Hill (the end of the Malverns) the second one is Monument to Queen Victoria (with the OS trip point in the back ground)

One of 2 RAF Hawks having a dog fight over Herefordshire Beacon

Gas street lights and a 1856 pattern post box (grade 2 listed) Make Malvern feel a bit special

Finding a good use for a no cycling sign :-)

Finishing the month off with a couple more of Shropshire's little ones....
