Lightmoor Shropshire

Lightmoor Box RIP

Sign protecting a footpath from Cherry Tree Hill

At least the fixed distant as survived so far

looking some what forlorn the now bare signal post (with lamps still attached)

66185 With a full cab running toward Madeley Junction 17-10-06

66099 back on coal traffic after its engineering duties at the weekend 17-10-06

Didn't expect to see a train today with the Wellington - Wolverhampton line closed but along came 66243 running down hill at a fair rate of knots.

 two days running 60015 running off the power station at about 11am 12/10/2006

.

66229 applying the brakes as it runs down hill towards Ironbridge 11-10-06

This caught me by surprise as I was already half way up the hill when I heard the now quite rare sound of 60015 Bow Fell and that's how close it was by the time I had legged it back down the path !

The 60 had a long wait at Lightmoor Box which gave me time to walk around on to the single track section .

Please Note That although some Pictures appear to be the wrong side of the fence they are all

public right of ways.

A few older Pics.
